Neem oil, which is obtained from the seeds of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica), has been used for centuries in traditional Indian medicine (Ayurveda) for its numerous positive properties. It is increasingly used in veterinary medicine for its healing, insect repellent and antibacterial properties. In vitro studies have shown that some compounds contained in neem oil, such as azadirachtin, have anti-inflammatory properties and stimulate cell proliferation, thereby promoting tissue regeneration and accelerating wound healing. The presence of azadirachtin and other compounds gives neem oil a strong repellent effect against a variety of insects such as mosquitoes, fleas and ticks. This property has been extensively documented both in laboratory studies and in practical application.
