Cornflower water

This common plant with its characteristic blue flower is used in ophthalmology. Its aromatic water, obtained by distillation, is used for the external decongestant and decongestant treatment of the eyelids and eye area.

How to use

Soak a gauze or cotton ball with Aromatic Water and gently rub the cat's eye from top to bottom. If the eye is very red, leave the compress on the eye for a few seconds if the cat allows it. For epiphora, clean the eyes daily, concentrating on the tear duct, and use Aromatic Water liberally to remove foreign bodies.

The vet's advice

For brown or red spots under your cat's eyes caused by tearing, use our Cornflower Water to remove them. These spots are caused by porphyrin, a waste enzyme. For prevention and treatment, combine the use of Pure Aloe Juice SALUS VET with a diet containing more white meat. Always use a separate gauze for each eye to prevent the spread of problems or bacteria.

When is it advisable to use Cornflower Aromatic Water for my cat?

Cornflower Aromatic Water is particularly useful if your cat shows signs of redness or irritation of the eyes caused by dust, wind, sun or severe cold. If your cat has swollen or red eyes after a walk outside or due to a change in the weather, apply the product to soothe and refresh the eye area.

If you notice that your cat is developing brown spots under the eyes due to excessive tearing, Cornflower Aromatic Water is a good solution. Use it daily to clean the eye area and reduce the accumulation of porphyrins. This prevents unsightly spots and keeps the eye area clean and fresh.

When is an eye compress useful?

If your cat has visibly irritated or tired eyes, you can make an eye compress with Cornflower Aromatic Water. Soak a gauze cloth with the product and place it gently on your cat's eyes for a few seconds. This will help to reduce swelling and congestion and provide relief and a feeling of freshness.
