Hoof care is one of the basic measures that must be carried out daily to maintain the general well-being of the horse. It is important to pay attention both to the frequency of hoof care and to the quality and effectiveness of the products used.
IAiAOH! has developed a product that is the perfect combination of quality and effectiveness. The quality is achieved by using 100% natural and Italian-made raw materials, while also paying attention to the processing methods to preserve and enhance the natural properties.
The active ingredients
The natural active ingredients contained in the Hoof Ointment make it possible to keep the hoof in the best physiological conditions. In it we find:
Tea tree essential oil: characterized by its antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiparasitic and healing properties. It can also be effective against bad odors;
Lemon essential oil: powerful bactericide that improves circulation and has an excellent repairing effect;
Neem oil: excellent for improving the lipid condition of the epidermis thanks to the vitamin E and essential fatty acids it contains. It has important antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory, antifungal and skin-purifying properties;
Vitamin E and F: antioxidant, nourishing and healing properties that accelerate the hoof renewal process;
Shea butter and beeswax: highly emollient and nourishing butter suitable for healing cracks and dehydration and, in combination with beeswax, which has a film-forming effect, forms a protective barrier;
St. John's wort lipo extract: active aid for small wounds, cracks and fissures.
How to use
It is recommended to thoroughly clean the area to be treated and then apply the ointment to the foot with a brush, concentrating on the wall, frog and sole of the hoof. The treatment can be repeated daily to achieve optimal results. This disinfects and protects the horse's frog and eliminates unpleasant odors and moisture.
We would like to point out that a smelly frog is particularly common in winter because the ground is wetter. However, it is important to emphasize that the box and the places where the horse spends time must be cleaned and disinfected to drastically reduce the proliferation of bacteria.
